The Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of Republic of Srpska and Innovation Centre Banja Luka will organize a two-day event called „Forward conference“ on December 9 and 10, 2021. The conference will be held in the premises of the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska. The first Forward conference was held in 2019 at Banski dvor in Banja Luka gathering over 500 participants from the region and the world, while last year’s conference was broadcast via Radio Television of the Republic Srpska at most-viewed time frame, immediately after the news, as well as on social networks.

The first day of the conference is focused on the regional perspective of the digital economy, primarily due to its impact on economic development, making it a challenge, but also an opportunity to strengthen competitiveness.  State institutions are expected to react quickly, switching to digital services in order to increase efficiency and modernize the public sector. Through panel discussions we will look for answers and share experiences on how to prepare and start a successful digital transformation. The Forward conference will share with you current world trends as well as reasons why countries with developed economies and profitable companies make digital transformation a priority.

Science and technology parks are becoming one of the generators of economic success through knowledge and research that emerges from them. Market demands are constantly changing, and it is necessary to react quickly and adapt to the changes that the fourth industrial revolution brings with it. The panel in which the representatives of science and technology parks from the region participate will be focused on the exchange of experiences and good practices. On the second day of the conference, we will discuss how to finance projects and companies that develop new products and processes, as well as digital contracts and modern ways of doing business in private and public sector.
