Gordana Gardašević, PhD, born in 1970 in Banja Luka, is Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Telecommunications at the Faculty of Electrical
Engineering, University of Banja Luka. She completed her research activities during her doctoral studies at the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, as a scholarship holder of the Greek Government (2007-2008). She completed her postdoctoral studies (2013-2014) at the University of Bologna, Italy. She is a participant and coordinator of a number of domestic and international projects. She was appointed by the Ministry of Science and Technology as a representative in the FP6 project of the European Union for Bosnia and Herzegovina and a member of the Government Information Technology Group. She is also the Bosnia and Herzegovina Representative in Horizon 2020 COST Action CA15104 - IRACON (Inclusive Radio Communication Networks for 5G and beyond). She is the coordinator of the two-year project (2017-2019) & Research and Development of
Solutions for Smart City Concept Implementation in Banja Luka", which is a strategic project for the City of Banja Luka. Research activities of professor
Gardašević cover the field of mobile and wireless telecommunications networks (next generation network architectures, protocols, quality of service), sensor networks, Internet of Things protocols and applications.
She is the author of two basic textbooks, one monograph, one chapter in an
international scientific publication, and more than 70 scientific and professional papers in the field of research.
